A Clean release of DD-WRT or Open-WRT for the R6300 v.1 I just recently purchased the infamous Netgear R6300 Dual Band Router, I totally love it, however after seeing the features that the XXX-WRT firmwares support above and beyond what Netgear offers I would like to run my Router on the WRT firmware.
When I tried to go wireless on the 1st one, it says the wireless radio is off (it isn't.I connected to the router immediately upon reboot when it was the basic unsecure network). I tried everything I can think of, re-booting, turning the wireless on/off, and even un-installing and re-installing the router software to no avail. root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio 0x0005 root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio on root@DD-WRT:~# wl radio 0x0004. More info & things I've tried: 'wl up' & 'wl restart' don't seem to make any difference. The status in the web gui says that the radio is on, but I cannot see the SSID on my wireless devices. Before turning off the router was configured and both "proprioedades TCP/IPv4 protocol" and changed the "general configuration" using the ip 192.168.0.3 and also changed the "alternate configuration" using the same ip "192.168.0.3". The Radio on / off UI has a very limited schedule. I need to be able to turn the radio on/off with a different weekend schedule vs a weekday schedule. I have an R7000 nighthawk router running v24-sp2. In my travels I found some instructions, and have created this script:
hi i recently upgrade my WRT3200ACM to dd-wrt and the two leds indicators for wifi 2.4 and 5ghz are off, i have radio on and wifi active. thats So, having DD-WRT v24-sp2 running on my wonderful D-Link DIR-320 I have configured the Radio Time Restriction in such way it' starting daily at 18:00 (when normally I should be back from work) and runs until 24:00 (when I should be asleep).
